AM Technical Solutions Acquires Sequence, Inc.

AM Technical Solutions Expands Life Sciences Capabilities with Acquisition of Sequence

AM Technical Solutions (AM), a global provider of architecture, engineering, construction, and commissioning services for high-tech industries, has announced the acquisition of Sequence, Inc., a specialist engineering consultancy focused on process design, commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV) services for the life sciences sector.

Based in Morrisville, North Carolina, Sequence has established a strong reputation for delivering CQV, Computer System Validation (CSV), IT/OT integration, operational readiness and engineering solutions for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and other highly regulated industries. The company supports clients throughout the full project lifecycle, from early-stage design through facility start-up, regulatory approval and commercial manufacturing.

The acquisition enhances AM’s existing engineering and CQV capabilities, strengthening its ability to support life sciences clients with specialised expertise in manufacturing processes, facility commissioning and validation. The move also expands AM’s service offering by combining Sequence’s technical knowledge and industry relationships with AM’s global project delivery resources.

Dave Watrous, CEO of AM Technical Solutions, said Sequence’s technical expertise and client-focused culture made the company a strong strategic fit.

“Sequence has built an exceptional organisation with deep technical knowledge and a commitment to both its people and its clients,” he said. “Their understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle, combined with hands-on expertise across the processes that bring innovative therapies to market, strengthens our ability to support life sciences customers at every stage of a project.”

Sequence will continue to operate under its current leadership team while benefiting from AM’s international network, engineering resources and construction expertise.

Mike Putnam, Founder and CEO of Sequence, said the partnership would create new opportunities for both clients and employees.

“Joining AM Technical Solutions gives our team access to a global network of engineering and construction expertise that will significantly expand the services we can provide,” he said. “Our commitment to quality, compliance and client success remains unchanged, while AM’s platform enables us to build on and accelerate what we have already achieved.”

According to the companies, the combination will provide clients with a more integrated project delivery approach, reducing coordination complexity by offering a single point of accountability from initial project planning through to manufacturing start-up and commercial production.
