Exyte lands €750M datacentre contract

Exyte Secures €750 Million in AI Data Centre Contracts Across Germany's Rhine-Main Region

Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) specialist Exyte has been awarded three major AI data centre projects in Germany's Rhine-Main region, securing contracts worth almost €750 million and reinforcing its growing position in Europe's rapidly expanding digital infrastructure market.

The projects, commissioned by international hyperscale operators and leading technology companies, represent one of Exyte's largest annual data centre order intakes and will contribute significantly to the company's 2026 project pipeline.

Construction will take place across the Greater Frankfurt area, one of Europe's premier data centre hubs, where demand continues to surge as cloud providers and AI companies expand capacity to support next-generation computing workloads.

The projects are expected to create approximately 400 jobs in Germany. Around 150 positions will be filled by redeploying experienced personnel from existing projects, while an additional 250 employees will be recruited to support project delivery through to 2028.

Exyte said the contracts reflect the increasing importance of AI-ready data centres within its business portfolio, complementing its long-established expertise in semiconductors, life sciences and other advanced technology sectors.

As artificial intelligence drives unprecedented demand for high-performance computing infrastructure, the company is incorporating advanced engineering solutions designed to improve both operational efficiency and sustainability. These include next-generation cooling technologies, optimised energy-efficient infrastructure and extensive use of prefabricated and off-site construction techniques to reduce material waste, improve build quality and accelerate delivery schedules.

"The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud computing is fundamentally reshaping global infrastructure requirements," said Mark Garvey, Chief Commercial Officer at Exyte.

"Our customers require highly scalable, resilient and efficient facilities that enable them to remain competitive in an increasingly AI-driven economy. These projects demonstrate the confidence leading hyperscale operators place in Exyte's ability to deliver complex, mission-critical infrastructure at scale."

Frankfurt continues to strengthen its position as one of Europe's most important digital infrastructure markets, benefiting from robust fibre connectivity, reliable power networks and growing demand from hyperscale cloud providers. The latest contracts further reinforce Exyte's role in supporting the region's expanding AI ecosystem while contributing to Germany's wider digital transformation ambitions.

With demand for advanced data centres continuing to accelerate worldwide, Exyte is expanding its global presence in the sector, leveraging decades of experience delivering highly specialised facilities for semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical production and other high-tech industries to meet the evolving needs of AI infrastructure developers.
