H&MV Engineering Secures New Investment

H&MV Engineering Secures New Investment at €1.4 Billion Valuation to Fuel Global Growth

Limerick, Ireland, 11 August 2026 – H&MV Engineering has secured a major funding transaction that values the company at approximately €1.4 billion, providing long-term capital to support its international expansion strategy, particularly in the United States.

The specialist high-voltage engineering and critical power infrastructure provider announced the creation of a €750 million continuation vehicle led by existing investor Exponent. The transaction extends Exponent’s partnership with H&MV while introducing new investors Apollo S3, Pantheon and SQ Capital to support the company’s next stage of growth.

The investment is designed to accelerate H&MV’s expansion across key markets, fund additional hiring, strengthen engineering capabilities and support strategic acquisitions. The company is targeting €3 billion in annual revenue within five years and plans to grow its global workforce to 3,000 employees.

H&MV enters this next phase with strong momentum, supported by a €2 billion order book and a €16 billion project pipeline. Since 2020, the company has grown revenue from €61 million to an expected €1 billion in fiscal year 2026, while increasing employee numbers from 300 to more than 1,900.

The company operates at the center of several rapidly expanding sectors, including data centers, battery energy storage systems and power networks. Rising demand driven by artificial intelligence, electrification and the broader energy transition is creating significant opportunities for businesses that can deliver reliable critical power infrastructure at scale.

A key part of H&MV’s strategy is its continued expansion in North America. The company plans to open its U.S. headquarters in Dallas later this year, building on the presence it established in the market in late 2025. Since entering the region, H&MV has invested heavily in leadership, engineering and project delivery teams to support growing customer demand.

Chief Executive Officer P.J. Flanagan said the transaction provides the financial backing required to scale alongside the fast-growing markets the company serves. He described the investment as a strong endorsement of the business built over nearly three decades and emphasized that future growth will be driven by continued investment in people, engineering expertise and company culture.

Exponent Partner Tim Easingwood said the continuation vehicle reflects confidence in H&MV’s leadership team, business quality and strategic role in supporting critical infrastructure globally. He noted that Exponent remains committed to the company’s long-term growth and welcomed the participation of several leading institutional investors.

H&MV Chair and Exponent Operating Partner John Moore highlighted the company’s position in some of the world's fastest-growing infrastructure markets. He said the next priority will be expanding further in the United States, deepening relationships with global customers and continuing to invest in the talent and capabilities needed to support future growth.

The transaction is expected to close in September 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Lazard served as financial adviser to H&MV and Exponent, while Arthur Cox and White & Case acted as legal advisers to H&MV.
