Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to explore opportunities for stronger cooperation

On February 6, Ireland’s Ambassador to India, Kevin Kelly, met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to explore opportunities for stronger cooperation between the state and Ireland in key areas of shared interest.

During the meeting, discussions focused on potential collaboration in sectors such as aircraft leasing, semiconductors, financial services and education.

On his first visit to Gujarat, Ambassador Kelly also reflected on the historical similarities between India and Ireland, noting that both societies are culturally rich and place great importance on preserving their heritage.

He recalled that Gujarat had been prominently showcased in a State Cultural Event Series organised by the Indian Embassy in Dublin two years ago, underscoring the growing cultural connection between the two regions.

Chief Minister Patel invited an Irish delegation to attend the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, an invitation that Ambassador Kelly accepted.
