Jacobs Named ENR Southwest Design Firm of the Year
Jacobs’ selection reflects its leadership on several transformative projects shaping the region’s built environment.
Jacobs has been recognised as the 2026 Southwest Design Firm of the Year by Engineering News-Record (ENR) Mountain States & Southwest. The annual award highlights firms demonstrating strong regional performance, innovation, project delivery, and contributions to both industry and community. ENR’s Southwest region covers Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.
Jacobs’ selection reflects its leadership on several transformative projects shaping the region’s built environment. In Chandler, the company—working alongside Hoffman Construction—is delivering Intel’s Fab 52, the largest semiconductor fabrication facility the chipmaker has developed to date. Spanning more than 2.9 million square feet, the project supports next-generation semiconductor manufacturing and has already earned top honours, including Project of the Year and Excellence in Safety at ENR’s 2026 Best of the Best Awards in New York.
Meanwhile, in Sheep Springs, Jacobs is leading the $267 million San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant as design-build contractor for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Construction began in 2025 and is scheduled for completion in 2028, with Jacobs providing operational support before transitioning the facility to local authorities.
A full company profile will feature in ENR’s June 22 issue, alongside its annual ranking of top design firms across the broader Mountain States region.
