Semiconductors Ireland 2026 to Spotlight the Future of Ireland’s Global Chip Industry
Recognising Ireland’s Growing Leadership in the Global Semiconductor Industry
Press Release
Industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, engineering, construction and technology innovators will gather at the Johnstown Estate, Co. Meath on 26 May 2026 for Semiconductors Ireland 2026, the country’s leading event dedicated to the future of the semiconductor sector and fab design and build.
The conference will bring together key stakeholders from across Ireland’s rapidly expanding semiconductor ecosystem to explore the major opportunities and challenges expanding further the industry, from advanced fab manufacturing and AI-driven chip demand to talent development, supply chain resilience and fab sustainability.
With Ireland continuing to strengthen its position as a global semiconductor hub through the Government’s “Silicon Island” strategy, Semiconductors Ireland 2026 will provide a platform for collaboration between multinational companies, indigenous enterprises, academia and government agencies.
This year’s agenda will feature expert keynote presentations, panel discussions and industry insights focused on emerging technologies, semiconductor investment trends, advanced construction, MMC, research commercialisation and Europe’s growing strategic focus on the next chip facility and where it might be built.
The conference will also address the growing importance of artificial intelligence, high-performance engineering and data centre expansion in driving global semiconductor demand, alongside the need for sustainable construction and fab design and the long-term workforce development.
Delegates attending the event will hear from senior executives, industry experts and leading researchers on how Ireland can continue to scale its semiconductor build capabilities while enhancing innovation, competitiveness and international collaboration.
Organisers say the event comes at a pivotal time for the industry as Ireland continues to attract significant investment across semiconductor manufacturing, design, research and next-generation technologies - positioning Ireland at the forefront of semiconductor fab build.
